Itinerary
Upon arrival at Athens Airport, you will be warmly welcomed and assisted with your transfer to your hotel in Athens. The remainder of the day is at leisure to relax and begin experiencing the charm of this historic city.
A morning panoramic tour introduces you to the most important monuments and landmarks of the city, including the Panathinaikon Stadium, Zappeion, Temple of Olympian Zeus, Hadrian's Arch, Syntagma Square, Parliament, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Schliemann's House, the Academy, University, National Library, and the Old Parliament. Your journey continues to the iconic Acropolis, where you will explore the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Parthenon, and the Erechtheion. The experience is enriched with a visit to the Acropolis Museum, home to remarkable findings from the area, including the renowned Caryatides. In the afternoon, enjoy time at leisure to explore Plaka and the historical center at your own pace.
Today, you will depart on a two days journey to Delphi. Set on the slopes of Mount Parnassos overlooking vast olive groves and the Corinthian Gulf, Delphi was once considered the most sacred place in the ancient world and a major pilgrimage center. You will explore the Sanctuary of Apollo, walk along the Sacred Way, and visit the Temple of Apollo, home of Pythia, the oracle, before continuing your drive to Kalambaka for an overnight stay.
In the morning, visit Meteora, one of the most remarkable regions of mainland Greece and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Towering rock formations rise dramatically from the landscape, crowned by centuries-old monasteries that create a truly awe-inspiring setting. After your visit, begin the return journey to Athens, stopping en route at Thermopylae to see the statue of Leonidas, commemorating the legendary battle of the 300 against the Persians.
At the indicated time, you will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight, taking with you unforgettable memories of Greece. End of our services.
